Ingredients

  • Ice
  • 8 oz sparkling water or club soda
  • 4 Tbsp flavored syrup (or to taste)
  • 2 Tbsp half-and-half or heavy whipping cream (or to taste)
  • Whipped cream (optional)
  • Maraschino cherries for garnishing (optional)

Instructions

  • Fill a tall glass with plenty of ice.
  • Pour in the sparkling water or club soda, leaving about 1–2 inches of space at the top for the syrup and cream.
  • Add your favorite flavored syrup and stir to combine.
  • Slowly pour in the half and half or heavy whipping cream.
  • Top with a dollop of whipped cream and a maraschino cherry, if desired. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

  • Use chilled ingredients: Cold sparkling water, syrup, and cream help keep the drink fizzy and refreshing.
  • Adjust the sweetness: Add more or less flavored syrup to suit your taste.
  • No cream? No problem! Leave out the half and half or cream to make a classic Italian soda instead.
  • Dairy-free option: Use your favorite dairy-free creamer or coconut cream instead of half and half.
  • Serve immediately: This drink is best enjoyed right after making it while it's cold and bubbly.
